Care policy – Danish and Finnish speakers

Professor Anneli Antonnen from the University of Tampere, Finland and Professor Tine Rostgaard, University of Aalborg, Denmark headline this free event by the Scottish Universities Insight Institute on care policy and practice and their impact on gender equity, economic, health and social care policy in Scotland. Getting care right has a significant impact on children, social care users and paid and unpaid carers - but this is a time of austerity. Can Scotland achieve better and fairer outcomes by learning from other care regimes - particularly Nordic ones? This event will focus on the lessons that can be learned about gendered outcomes in long-term and child-care policy.
